This is how I spent all last winter working on my new 62 Valiant. I started late summer and I don't think I missed a single nut of bolt or wire on the car. I was able to spray it around October before it got too cold and begin the reassembly process thru the winter. It was hard but fun and very rewarding. It sure does turn heads when I drive it. That is kinda what it is all about anyway isnt it? I can't believe the power it has. My first car back in '65 was a 61 val with a 170, its a good thing it didn't have the power of this one. I hope the link works with the pics. I put some comments with them, but I didnt mention I changed it from 3 on the column to 4 spd od.
Hope it meets your approval.

Thanks for looking

Superb work, Ron! Will you or Kay be drag racing it at all? Just a street driver?? Hope we get to see it at Elk Creek or another venue.

Congrats on a job well done.

Lou

Thanks Guy for the kind words. It always makes you feel good when fellow enthusiasts see and appreciate your work. I didn't keep up with the hours but it took over six months working on it about every day to get it done. I don't plan to put it on the strip at this time because I used a stock clutch and we know what will happen to it real quick. I am going to enter It in Farmington's big Mopar car show this spring and see what happens. It will probably be the only toad in the show. I will enter the '70 Sweptline as well and keep my fingers crossed, it placed 2nd the last two years.

Thanks again
Ron

Great looking car. With those coil-overs keep and eye on your hood gaps. If you really plan to drive the car, you'll get to the point where you can't open your hood.

Excellent concept of the car, what gearbox you put in it? If I do not have bad memory all models of 62 got the gear box changes three on the tree, the car is amazing, congratulations. Greetings from Mexico City. :D

Alex, you are right it had three on the tree. I had a hump fabbed up and put in a 4 speed o/d. I works great with the 3:55 rear.
Thanks for the comments. By the way I really felt good a couple of weeks ago when it came in second place in the early A body class at a big Mopar show here in N.C.
Ron

Nice car. How did you reinforce the mounts for the coil overs?

Sharp looking car. I also have a 62 valiant but it was in bad shape when I got it. Still a looong way to go on it.
