For a quality gaskets-and-seals kit, I prefer the kits from www.daytonaparts.com because they contain a better design of inlet needle and seat. Specify a kit for a Carter BBS #3678s and you'll get the right kit. Unfortunately, like all gasket kits these days, it will not come with the necessary stamped-cardboard float gauge. You will be given a useless little strip of paper ruler and assumed to make do the best you can. :-(

If you are after a very complete overhaul kit (incl. jets, etc.) my go-to source is www.thecarburetorshop.com .

Carburetor operation and repair manuals and links to training movies and carb repair/modification threads are posted here for free download.

A "side-note" on carb rebuilding...

The carb's float adjustment has an operating "range" and I have found that running the float bowl fuel level, on the low side of the range, gives me the best over-all "driveability".

To be honest, I run the float (fuel) level under the stated range, on many carbs I rebuild, especially the Carter BBS... and get pretty good results.

Basically, get the float bowl's fuel level too low and you will feel fuel lean-out and starvation, during hard cornering and braking.
Set it on the high side and you get a rich condition from "sloshing" and easier "boil-over", causing harder hot re-starts.

Carberators are going to evaporate-off any fuel sitting in the float bowl, (given time & heat) so I try to keep as little fuel as possible, in the bowl.

Long story short, this is one of those adjustments were less tends to be "better".
My 2 cents...
DD
