They come in the rebuild kits. We have one local shop that carries them in Lynnwood, WA. Joe's Carb's. Great guys! They can be found in the vendor section.

I just checked my kits down stairs and the last Hygrade and Wells kits that I bought had them. Those are fairly old kits...However, PM SL6Dan, I know he likes the Walker kits....and knows of carb shops in your area.

The weight doesn't come in a kit (anyone's kit) or as a separate repair part. Make your own from a short piece of appropriate-diameter brass rod from the hardware store. Size it to fit easily in the hole with some clearance around the sides.

I know this is an old post, but I found the answer to the accelerator check-ball weight question:

http://www.carburetor-parts.com/Holley-1940_ep_343.html

..."It is a hex shaped weight. I would say the most important spec is the weight. Too much weight and the check ball will not lift as it should.
Here are the specifications. Brass 1 gram in weight 7/16" long 5/32" wide, point to point of the hex.

An alternative is to add 1 more check ball on top of the 1st check ball."

I tried taking mine out while the carb is still mounted on the engine. Had to do some creative lifting with dental picks. Its brass so its not magnetic which is just so convenient <sarcasm>. I think I will try the 2nd ball trick (but I know that little 2nd ball isn't 1 gram in weight) or maybe a BB from the kids gun.
