Well all this cam stuff is over my head so I'll stick w stock as others seem to vouch for it.

I'll add my 1.5€ here and offer the idea of if you want an oil cooler then maybe run a single pass one on the line to the turbo. Gets the cooler and cooler oil to the one thing that's going to heat it up well. Would also help to not coke? The oil too. I had planned this on mine, single pass aluminum on eBay is like 20-40 depending how wide you want it. Then again I've not built a turbo yet so others may say diff.

Compression is 8.77:1, And I might move forward on the turbo soon.

I like the oil cooler idea.

I'm about to look through the old turbo threads and research turbo builds. I spoke with Turbonetics in the past and the first time they recommended a T04 B H trim compressor wheel 54 mm turbine and .48 AR turbine housing.

Later they recommended T04-E-60 and no turbine specifics.

Hmm? I probably should start a new thread, but will pipe in on the performance and opinion of the cams performance.

Go ahead and keep it in here since I already added this thread to the FAQ section that was built. I still dont understand all the turbo madnesss with numbers. All I know is I have an HX-35 and will start there.

The oil cooler idea was just me using google pictures a lot and type things I think of, then reword and search again. In my case it was "oil cooler" then DIY oil cooler, turbo oil cooler and so on. Gives a variety of all sorts, then when I want to know about one i right click and open in a new tab, allowing me to keep the current search and read the one I seen. It helps.

Keep building!, no time for sleep either, that is later in life. Besides I need more builds that uncover the details so that when the next person comes along they should be able to just read and take notes. keep up the good work.

I hope I don't highjack the thread by expanding on the theme.
Joshua, the figures for your cam is quite close to Doc's RV15/295 RDP design, except for the exhaust lift being bigger on the RV cam, with gross lift at int. 0.435/ex. 0.446. Many members have bought the RV15 cam, and may at a later stage try turbocharging for more power.
What are your thoughts on turbocharging a build with the RV15 cam and 9:1 static compression, will the RDP design be at a disadvantage here?
Anyone tried it?

Olaf
