haven't posted in a while, and in this case, its the 'no news is good news' about two weeks ago I was down in a town called Marshfield, Mo visiting some friends, when a guy turning in front of me stopped, and I did too, but the kid behind me didn't... in a 25mph zone he slid 44ft in a mercury sable, hitting me and pushing me into the first guy. needless to say, the dart took the brunt of the damage, collapsing the shock absorbers behind the rear bumper, and then taking out the rest of the squish on the body crumpling my quarter panels, trunk floor, rear wheel wells, twisting the body, bending the rear subframe, breaking my seat, and moving the engine until my radiator got ate by the fan.
needless to say, I was a bit livid, seeing how his car just had bumper and grill damage from what I could see. the insurance company payed me 6k, and then it cost me $800 to buy the car back. turns out he had rear ended another guy two weeks before that and had another wreck previously in the year.
the ironic part was, I was having carb probs the day before, and considered not going, and four days after the wreck, my OCG cam, lifters, pushrods, timing set, and cam bearings came in; the parts I had been needing to finish put my new motor together (thanks btw to DusterIdiot on helping me find a cam, and id tell you how great the engine is, but it will probably be a little while before it gets back together) right now, plans are find a reliable DD for 5200, (dodge magnum?

) get the dart to a frame shop, get the new motor put together and tranny rebuilt, get new motor swapped and broke in, then pull it to do bodywork and repaint, along with minor cosmetic changes, and upgraded suspension, and then have it all put back together for the burnout contest on the last day of high school

so, let the fun begin! (again!)
