Has anyone installed part throttle kickdown on an early 904? Is it possible? If yes I want to do it.

I am running the Lokar cable, transgo, 2200 stall, internal filter and Hayden cooler. Work beautifully except the kickdown. I works but boy do I have to step on it...

I believe Pat Blais (Torqueflite Patty) has a kit he sells on eBay to retrofit part throttle kickdown to the early 904 valve bodies. I don't even think it is that expensive.

Yeah, see the desciption in THIS eBay auction. I have purchased from him several times and he is a top notch supplier and good guy.

It looks like his shop is in Seattle, heck I might just drive the Valiant up and have him do the install, maybe a deep pan too?

I don't know if he actually installs parts, or even has a brick and mortar store. He stuff is first rate though, and he has forgotten more about the torqueflite than I will ever know.

Just got off the phone with Pat Blias. This guy is a wealth of 904 knowledge, and he is setting my 904 with part throttle kickdown. He can do bench work, but not a full shop. Fair pricing too.

Suggested installing a tranny temp gauge on the line to the cooler. Has anyone done this? Real curious to see my temp especially with the stall converter.
