Hi EFI guys,
I am redoing my fuel lines again. This time I'm running AN -06. Should I run it around the front of the motor or from the back? I want to minimize heat on the lines and make it as clean as possible.

I kind of lean towards "from the back", but the heater housing (toad) and exhaust flange makes it a bit more of a challenge...

Cheers,
Barnaby

Can you take a pic of the engine compartment? It really depends on how your fuel rail and regulator is setup.

I hope your using the teflon type line... have read way too many stories of the rubber type ones, even specifically labeled for fuel use, leak vapor through the rubber and stink up the garage.

Thanks Pierre, I'll take a photo.
My EFI is throttle body so no rails. Rubber vs. teflon for AN? Had no idea? I am running the rubber. There is no regulator, I have fuel on demand. I computer turns the pump off at 50psi and on at 40 psi. I would not recommend this system, but I paid too much for it and am determined to make i work...

By the way, I plan to drive the car 1500 miles in 2 weeks. I need to do this right and not cut corners or get impatient. I'd hate to breakdown in Redding or Weed and spend 3 nights in the Motel 6 and pay a shop to fix what I should have done in the first place.

Cheers,
BT

On my 68 Dart MP-EFI turbo, I ran EFI lines from the back of the motor to the rail. On my 64 Dart TBI, the lines run over the valve cover toward the back. I don't think there's a lot to think about here, just do what makes sense to you. I use high pressure EFI rubber hose and have had no problems. I run as much steel hardline as I can with only short sections of hose. No AN stuff on either of these cars. I have driven both to the Pacific and back a few times.

Thanks Lou,
From the back seems to be consensus. Talk to CJ last night and he had the same advice.

Plus I'll use less AN and my wallet likes that!
