Ran great until I got bright idea of adjusting gearshift cable.Now drive button is neutral and neutral is reverse.What can I do to get it back to the way it should be?

This is a '63 (from your sig) WHAT?? Valiant, truck, The button assemblies are different from model to model. But if all you did is adjust the cable, and didn't do anything to the pushbutton assembly in the dash, you're not in too much trouble. This should help.

Thanks for the info and what I did was back it off and its working its a 63 dodge 440.
