I am having quite a time trying to find new transmission cooler hard lines for my 66 valiant.

Classictube.com has them for 60 bucks!!!!! Yikes...

Anyone found or know where I can start looking for these lines?

Thank you very much.

I would expect to pay $40-60 for prebent ready to fit lines.

The only ones at classic tubes website I see are for a 70...

Try calling www.rightstuffdetailing.com, they show the lines for $40 but only have a 67-69 listing for a /6 car.

if $60 sounds too pricey to you, and it shouldn't... you can always fabricate trans cooler lines yourself using bulk line and a tubing bender, you might save $20 that way. But with the time you spend bending the lines to fit you may as well save the hassle and pay the $60 for prebent ones. Of course with aftermarket tubes there is always the risk that they have an incorrect bend in them somewhere, and either rub against something or don't fit altogether. Just make sure they dont rub against anything and that the ends are the correct type so they don't mess up the flare or the threads. Good luck

Thanks for the help, guys.

Does anyone know if the lines from the "67-69" or the "70"(on classictube) would fit? Might seem like a dumb question, because obviously they would list them otherwise...but if this is my only option then I would have to get them and bend them as little as possible...

So has anyone else had to try this?(I doubt it)

But if so, what did you do, or do you guru's think that it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to try and "persuade" the lines to fit my car?

Thanks.

I dunno personally, when I pulled my motor for rebuild I only tried pulling my trans lines after I pulled my manifolds, and I installed them again after laying the block down, and put the manifolds in over top of them. Never tried wrestling them out with the manifolds in, but then Ive only owned the car a month... I hope all works out
