I'll take some better pictures with my film camera when I get the chance, but here are some digital pictures of my turbo Dart project, which has just completed its first extended road test today. It does have a few tuning issues. It idles way too rich even with the screws all the way in. It bogs a bit if you floor it from idle. And since the choke on the carb is missing, it's a bear to get it started. But it is up and running, after over a year of working on it.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. Truth is I didn't weld any of this setup myself either - although the next round of upgrades, I probably will weld a few things. The exhaust manifold is the very same one in Wayne's article on how to turbo a slant six - he sold that to me about two years ago, along with a TE04 turbo off a K-car and the intake setup you see there. There's practically no turbo lag - just a bog from the carb not quite being in tune - and it spools up pretty fast. However, it's been topping out at only 3 psi or so of boost. I'll have to get the wastegate setup adjusted right.

Glad to hear that you're up and running! You mentioned adjusting your wastegate. Is the wastegate rod adjustable? If not you can thread the rod as illustrated at: http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/images/ ... tegate.JPG

Looks like great progress. Concidentally, I bought a swap meet TEO4H in July and I will probably play with that on a stock manifold as my first turbo attempt on my daily driver '68 Dart. I await further updates!

I hope you're not using the Mitsubishi turbo that came on 2.2 and 2.5 4 cylinder Chrysler cars in the late 80's. They are way too small, even for the 4 cylinders! Go with the Garrett T3 as a minimum. Even then, a full T4 Garrett turbo would not be too much for a 225 /6. Use a full length 3 inch exhaust system.

I've been researching turbos a lot lately, since my daily driver is now an 89 Dodge Spirit with a 2.5 and the Mitsubishi turbo. It'll get worked on. And if I ever get my 1974 Duster built, it'll be my /6 turbo project car.

I'm afraid it is one of the itsi bitsi Mitsubishi turbos that you mentioned. Ought to do Ok for low RPM - but chances are once I get it working I may start experimenting with what two of the little beasties can do.
