hey guys, first post, great forum. i just received some go-fast parts for my scamp and i came across this car on craigslist. its listed as a 72 scamp, looks correct, but i cant get any information about the grill from the seller or from google. i tried searching for both dart and scamp stuff and am coming up empty. its kind of weird though, my scamp nose comes to a point; hood, grille and lower area with the hood-pop. the one in question seems to be rather flat, hood and hood-pop area at least.

any information? anyone seen this before?

It's correct. The grill is aftermarket. Looks like it covers the headlights.

What year is yours? Different front ends for the '72 to the later cars.

That looks like the front end that was on my 72 Duster with a custom grill put across the front. It kind of looks as if the stock stuff is all behind it.

thanks ceej, mines a 73 but if i remember correctly thats the year they started changing things, i hadn't taken that into consideration. ill take a close look at some 72 front ends and see what i can figure out, you are right though, and i kind of like the hide-away look of it.. not sure how i would mount the amber lights though but i'm sure if i was to fab a custom grill i could figure something out.

would a early model front end swap be feasible? or would it be easier to fab the grill to my cars specifications?
