Can A Fel-Pro or Permaseal AP 210 Be run on a N/A 14:1 Engine?

Or is it time for Copper?

Just Curious.

Thanks,

Greg

It's time for copper and O-ringing at this point. With only 4 bolts per cylinder working against you, composition style head gaskets are futile.

I only went for 13:1 on the 170 I built for Bonneville and I used copper with o-rings.

Any time you get above 12-1 on a Slant you are flirting with disaster on standard head gaskets, even with studs.

Charlie keeps some copper gaskets I believe. Jim Cox may have some too.

I agree copper is going to be the reliable solution. Permaseal with an 0-ring might do it, but likely not long term.
