Can any one tell me what years had the "crows foot" clamp? Any one have an extra?

I believe the switch was made to the "crow's foot" style in the late 70s. I recall finding them on Aspens and Volares, as well as on every 80s era slant I have ever seen.

I don't have any extras at this time, though. :(

Thanks Reed. Now I know what years to look at.

I believe the smallblock V-8 "foot" is close enough to work on a slant, but the ring that bolts to the distributor would have to be fabricated. It isn't too complicated though.

Charlie all of our 80's trucks have them. I will look but I don't know that I have any to spare.

I have a couple or three distributors with the ring, just no clamps.

Will a Chrysler 2.2l or 2.5l 4 cylinder version work?

The 1979 model year...previous to that they use the standard bolt on hold down. These are very common on the 80's trucks, but as always some junkyard finds are mix and match...and worse our local pick a part pulls those parts to make getting part easier and throw them in the truck bed or the passenger compartment and they get lost or just don't make it in the hulk to be found...

Sorry to say I no longer have any spares...but have lots of the "ring" hold downs for the distributor body...if someone was going to reproduce the claw at a fairly reasonable price I'd be up for a handful or two...

Note that the LA and B body hold down although it looks similar have claws that are a little wide compared the slants ring (the flange on the V-8 dizzy body is a little wider...and naturally the B block hold down has a "tail" that is bent 90 degrees down so that'd have to be sawed off to begin making it work).
