I'm building an '84 D100 and wanted to add a limited slip differential. I found this from Summit. I only get a busy signal when I call, so I figured to ask here. Just wanted to double check before I bought it.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dcc-4 ... /year/1984

I have an 8.25" rear with 3.55 gears. The specifications list for 2.76 and higher gears. I'm assuming that mean numerically, so this will work for my truck?

Thanks all!

Yes, it should work. That appears to be a Trac Loc unit. They are good as long as you don't hit them with too much horsepower.

Thank you! Power shouldn't be an issue, I'm running the stock engine, even down to the little 1945 one barrel.
