Just recently, my 225 Slant has been acting up a bit....

I've noticed that when at low speeds (under 25mph), the engine dosn't run at a constant speed, it kinda surges a little bit.

Also, after pulling up a driveway, backing out of a driveway, or driving real slow in a parking lot, the engine has the tendency to stall.

My thoughts were vacuum leaks or fuel pump...

Any thoughts?

Does it stall when you go uphill? if it does, try another fuel pump.

before replacing anything, you may want to give it a try advancing the dist.

I should have asked that, I life in Holland, which is like the flattest country on earth        But you could try to find a short piece of uphill road, somewhere, and just pretend driving uphill,..

I had this problem in Australia some years ago, which is less flat.
