In building my 1938 Plymouth street rod, I have a B & M shifter that has built in neutral safety and back up light switches that can be used without the switch that is in the transmission. Does anyone know of a machined plug that would replace the factory switch. If not does anyone know what the threads are so a plug could be made for this. I know, I can just leave the factory plug in place and not use it, but that's not my style.

I would use the switch in the transmission because that switch is more directly connected to the valve body and the bona fide park and neutral positions. The shifter's neutral safety switch switch relies on the position of the shifter mechanism which does correlate well to the actual valve body position so long as the cable/linkage is adjusted correctly. This is a safety item and the transmission switch is safer.

Chuck, I should have an old harness laying around the shop if you want. New ones are available, but I can't remember who sells them.
