Well the 1974 Holley 1945 on my Yellow duster finally 'tanked' and I pulled it apart to put it in the 'dip' for a while...I found it had been jetted with a #58....just out of curiousity I pulled a stock 1976 Feather Duster Holley 1945 out of my stash and just slapped it on the slant and went for it... The book says it should be a jetting with either a #61 or #63 jet, and it took a crank of the starter to get it to fill the bowl and light. Compared to the old 1945, this one has much better pick up and idles better...

So for all the back posts of guys who've upped their jetting in their 1920 or 1945, it works!

Now I have to see what it does to my gas mileage....

The 1945 On my 1980 Aspen had a close tolerance #58 jet. I now use, believe it or not, a #68 jet. My overall mileage is about 21 mpg. The main air bleed size affects fuel flow, not just the jet size alone.

I haven't forgotten about Hpak tuning, now that mild weather is back, I'm going to have to rebuild another Holley, the 8007 on the car runs fine, but it's looking like the secondary throttle shaft has worn enough to have some play and cause an intermittent vacuum leak....
