Why not add a chain tension spring and slider when you're making totally something new for the /6 timing cover?

As discussed in this forum in some cases the roller chain will touch to the cover and the sound is - something special. I have one such a "rattler" in my car.

The dimensions of the new billet cover should also be inspected with roller chain which seem to be little thicker than silent chain.

The base of the new 2-piece cover should be designed to use standard timing cover gasket - 2 of them of course. Could be also nice if you can find standard parts for the tension system from Mopar production.

Yes I am also interested to buy one such a cover set.

I like this!!!!

Maybe you can make the cover smaller, only for the cam gear size. This way you still have access for cam timing and there is no need to pull the balancer out. Down here most of the timing covers are that way. Also with a cam stop bolt.
I do have one oem modified that way and ir works perfect.

Yeah, it maybe on Santa's sleigh this year. I just got my new true EFI intake with front mount TB cast for another inline engine group and am getting ready to get the Slant version EFI intake wrapped up and cast as well. So a lot of new goodies are on the horizon. I finally got my big milling machine under power and just for giggles i'm making a billet Hemi head for the Slant also just to do a proof of concept. I'm doing the 3D modeling on it now.

Its nothing special, I am actually copying an early Chrysler 241 Hemi head that is near the same bore size as the Slant 6 and cubic inch so the ports and valve sizes won't be unrealistic. Once I get started and can find another picture hosting site I will post them.
