I have a 1985 Dodge truck with the slant six. When i remove the valve cover to replace the gasket i see the fuel line looks in the way. Do i have to move it and if so can i take it off at the filter? Any other tips? thanks

Yes, and yes. Have something handy to plug the hose to the carb in case you get some drain back.

Have something handy to keep your cover bolts and washers in...have a magnetic probe handy in case you drop one.

If the gasket is fossilized a scraper will help strip most of that off the head.

Removing the valve cover with the fuel line in place is one of the advantages of the fuel line mod.
