I saw an Aussie belt drive system on Facebook today. They are supposedly rare and run around $800. Are there any in the US? Have I been living under a rock?

I've got a used standard cam hemi Jesel belt drive setup that I want to adapt to a slant. It does not look too hard to do, either cut the crank or build a thin spacer for the cam. It is way down the on the list of things I need to do.
Do you want to take on the project?

Mark

Since the big block (and Hemi) crank sprocket and chain are the same as on the slant, I would think it shouldn't be too difficult to modify the cam sprocket to fit. Of course, I am sure it is easier said than done.....

Are there any horsepower gains to be had there?

Jeff Droll used to make the spacer for the cam sprocket. Years ago he sent me the dimensions. I would bet Seymour still has them.

Isn't Hemi a 3 bolt cam?

Rick, it makes the timing very stable, but mainly it looks bad-ass.

Mark, sounds like a good project for all my spare time.
