Both seem to be good choices. I have not used either, but I like the looks (and ground clearance) of the Aussiespeeds. People have gone fast with 1.5" headers (Clifford 3X2s of all flavors, or Mopar/Hedman 6X1).

What kind of engine buildup are you doing? Drag only car, or street/strip, or...?

Lou

Just a FYI. Back when I was running my 65 Valiant with a 170 in "stock eliminator". Jack Clifford gave me a couple sets of headers to try. The 1.5 long tubes, with a collector extension, was better then the 1 5/8.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be a spray motor. 1-5/8" will probably be better.

Was just wondering who ran what the hookers seem to have longer tubes than the aussie
This will be sprayed heavily just dont know what would be best as far as tube length I know long tubes make good power but I couldn't find tube length on the aussie hookers are 40 inches

Here's the set Mike had built when he was spraying. I have run them N/A. 0 torque below 4000 rpm.

They are stepped. The car really pulls in high gear. I went 103 with it, best with my Cliffords is 101.

Mike went 129 on the hose.

4.10 and a 30" tire.

With spray you don't need a lot of gear. Everybody tends to gauge nitrous by horsepower, but it really makes a lot of torque.

I was thinking of a 28 tall with 3:55 that maybe to weak so maybe 3:73 with a 28

On my old car I ran a 3.91 with an 8X26 MT ET Street. It worked very well.
