I have a '79 Volare with 27k actual miles.I owned it 6 years ago and sold it. The kid I sold it to hit and ran and it ended up with the wrecker company. I've been slowly trying to getting it road worthy again. All new front brakes and put 5th Ave 15's on it. Body work will be next. It having running issues from sitting. O pulled the top of the carb off and cleaned all the sediment. Putting the carb back together I've lost the small spring that goes under the screw to the power valve. Will a carb kit have that part. The pick of the exhaust is strange. Is there something broke or missing???

Picture of the exhaust is the heat stove, it's missing the flexible hose that goes to the air cleaner intake for heated air during warm up.
It might be moot if the thermactor isn't working correctly....

The typical carb kit from Standard, Wagner, etc will not have that spring... Not sure on the Carburator Shop kits...you may need to rob one
out of another BBD....

https://quadrajetparts.com/step-piston- ... -1189.html That was original spring for sedans and trucks.station wagons some years got a different stiffer spring. Modern day afb edelebrock springs will also work.
