as of 8:22 am today the dart is again operational, when dad gets home we will put the hood back on, and be good to go!
thanks for the input on various questions before and after, now that its going im sure i will have more questions, first one right now is both the 74 and 73 had a capacitor looking thing on the alternator, the alternator from the 67 was better shape so we used it, what does that thing do and how do i use it, we used the block/head from the 74 and put on the distributor and alternator from the 67, used the 67 coil to, we knew they worked good and we replaced most of that stuff last year, and most the electronic ignition stuff was ruined on the 74 and the 73 was sketchy thanks fellow slanters!

Very cool, Andy. That capacitor is most likely for radio noise suppression (noise from alt). Happy driving,

Lou
