i got my 2.25 inch exhaust with a flowmaster put on a couple of days ago. my car sounds great. its got a nice deep aggressive tone compared to my glasspack. my gf even went as far as to say it sounded like a muscle car lol. i was a little worried about putting the 40 series flowmaster on after reading on here about alot of people thinking they were too loud. mine is 10 times quieter than my old glasspack and the sound is much cleaner. i can hardly hear the exhaust over the ticking of my valves. :D

Are you guys running headers?
My cherry bomb turbo muffler was disapointingly quiet untill I installed the headers and 2.5" exhaust.
I'm running 2.5" to the muffler and 2.25" after. It really sounds good with out being annoyingly loud

I am running stock header, have MP 6-1 header, but It looks like a real tight fit, going to try removing some engine parts, maybe it will slide in....but current sounds good and not annoying sound with stock header

I have been considering putting the Flowmaster Delta flow on my car. How loud is yours on the inside (can you still hear the radio?). How much different will the Delta flo sound from the 40 series? My truck has a set of glasspacks on it that I fished out of a dumpster close to my house. They were loud to begin with until I blew the packing out of them then they got REAL LOUD. You can't hear yourself think inside of the truck due to the noise but several people have told me that it is one of the best sounding trucks they have ever heard. The cops don't seem to think so. They are always stopping me and threatning to give tickets if I don't do something with my truck.

my car is way quieter on the inside with the 40 series delta flow than my glasspack. the ride is much more pleasant. i could still hear my rasio with the glasspack so you should definitely be able to hear your radio with the muffler. i talked to a tech at flowmaster and they told me that the delta flow would give a smaller displacement engine a deeper sound than the regular 40 series. i also think it is a little quieter than the regular 40. if you are used to the loud glaspacks be prepared for a big change. i wasnt sure i liked the flowmaster at first because it was so much quieter. it gives my car a much better sound, in my opinion, and doesnt sound like an 80's chevy work truck. overall im very pleased with the sound and the slight seat of the pants power difference since i switched to the flowmaster and larger exhaust pipe.
