I am new to your forum and a new owner of a slant 6. I can't seem to find any website for decoding the stamped engine numbers. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I plan on putting the slant 6 in a 1953 Dodge "Spring Special" "Pilothouse" B-series pickup my wife purchased. A three on the tree will be behind it. Trying to keep interior as original as possible while having an affordable power train. Any suggestions for the swap, especially modifying the pedals would be appreciated. My stamped engine numbers are as follows:
8225R 10172E. I assume it is a 1978 225 Regular gas but am not sure.
