I have the MP 6 into 1 header with a dynomax turbo muffler, 2.5" exhaust front to back. I was considering going to an original flowmaster 40 series or a delta flow 40 series. I have also seen they have a new 40 series muffler out now the Super 40. Has anyone ever tried the new Super 40 on a slant ? any feed back on these mufflers would be great I'm just trying to decide on one. I'm not too happy with the dynomax. I'm looking for a loud deep tone.

as of right now i run a 2.25 flowmaster 2-chamber but im doing a total 2.5" system and im going to try a super 40 on that. it should have a very similar sound. flowmasters are the best as far as i am concerned, but i know some will disagree. i love the one on the 6, it makes it sound like a subtle v-8 at times. guys around here are befuttled by the sound because you can tell its not really an 8 cyl and are surprised when i tell em its a six because of its agressive sound it has.

i believe that the flowmaster super 40 is designed for larger displacement modified engines. im sure it wouldnt hurt anything if thats what you put on but i dont know how it might sound. i was told by flowmaster to that the best 40 series for me to use would be the 40 series delta flow. its been on for about a month now with the 2.25 inch exhaust and im very happy with it. when i mentioned the super 40 the rep immediately said no and that the delta flow would be the better choice for my slant. thats just what i was told but who knows if that guy knew what he was talking about.

interesting point, i will look into it farther before i make the purchase.
