Hello All,
I've been on again and off again with this project.
I started out as a loose tribute to the NASCAR Valiants. It's the wrong year and not even a Plymouth or 3 speed. But it should have a bit of the personality and feel. It is a 4 door, bench seat car with harness belts. And it it sure got some interesting looks at the track.
Dick Ross at Firmfeel helped me with the suspension and I really can't say enough about how pleased I am with the handling. It has a Ford 8.8 with 3.73 and disc. The transmission is a 64 833.
It was amazing in the corners, but dreadfully slow on the straights. It's more fun to drive a slow car fast, unless it's this car, really slow.
Soon I will get a fresh 170 with a few performance mods from the machine shop. And it will be fuel injected with Megasquirt and hopefully the Hyper Pak will behave itself getting my eggs and butter below 60 degrees...
Today I Pulled the slow and trustworthy original 170.
