I think I have found a source for the stamped steel head gaskets. They measure .020 thick. They are listed on a company website in New Zeland>. Price listed is $30 ea. If any one is interested let me know, and I will get back to them, to check total pricing, with shipping. I think we would need to do a group buy, to make it feasable.

Leave it it to the NZ and Aussies to get some good parts for our Engines.

I think most folks now have been just cutting the extra 0.020" - 0.030" off their Head and using a felpro or whatever else is available.

Actually, found them by accident. I googled the part number (AP210) of the aussie gaskets, just to get a price (I have some), and a web site came up. The two types of gasket were listed. I sent a e-mail to confirm they were the shim gasket, and got a reply saying they were.

Charlie, is there any chance that they would send you both styles of the head gaskets? I would like a couple more of the Big Bore gasket if they were available. I know the shipping from Oz added about $10-15 to the price of the head gaskets when I did the group buy years ago.

As i have never used a steel shim head gasket , can someone explain the use and benefit of these over say a standard Felpro which i have always used.
I will be doing another engine next year as my current engine which is Supercharged is getting fairly sad .
As i live in Australia i googled AP210 and only came up with Permaseal and AA gaskets with no reference to steel shim AP210 .
Would you be able to PM the website so i can order from here if this is what i need .
I am only running low boost at the moment but may look at going up to around 7 - 10 PSI .
