I have one of the mini starters on my 318 Scamp and I love it... its small , lighter than the stock, and it spins the engine over really fast.

Is there one available to fit the /6 ?

Same starter that is on your 318.

When I got mine I asked for a starter for a '95 Dodge Ram 318. Bolted right up, and gave me 3" of header clearance :D

Or you can go to a junk yard and pull a starter from a '89 up Dodge truck or van with either a V8 or V6. Got mine off a '95 V6 Dakota for 35 bucks. They are very reliable units and I have no problem recommending buying a used one. Plus, they are easy to take apart to clean up and paint to look like new. 8)

My trucks an '88 (318) and it came with the small Jap starter... Just thought I'd mention that...

As others have mentioned, the "special" Mopar Performance mini starter is really just the same starter used on '89-'02 RWD V8 and V6 applications (except Jeeps). You can get these starters brand new off Ebay for $80. Me, I don't use 'em -- I will not stand for my Mopars sounding like Hondas when cranked.
