Mine got a couple pushrods and cups too. RAS blamed that on bad Crane adjusters. They did send a new set of adjusters. I think Mike bought that mess from me.

One thing that struck me as odd about all the complaints regarding oiling issues for the aftermarket roller rockers, it became obvious to me why this is happening once DadTruck posted pics of the rockers above, as I had never seen any pics of them before showing the ID. Even though they have an oil hole that apparently leads to the roller tip, there is no channel or groove in the ID to direct any oil to this oil hole. Below is a stock rocker where it has a channel inside the ID to capture oil coming out of the rocker shaft and directs it straight to the oilers inside the rocker body to oil the valve tips and likely the valve springs as well. So, now I can see why the roller rocker have so much problem as this important feature is missing from the design by the person that created them. This is similar to how the main bearings send oil to the rod bearings. The groove in the main bearings captures and holds significant oil volume to then send to the rod bearings. If the main bearings had no groove in them, only the thin layer of oil between the main journal and bearing would be the only oil that would somehow have to miraculously find the hole in the main journal to continue its journey to oil the rod bearings. Which it would have similar failings just like the roller tips on the rockers, just much sooner.

The second photo in the first post, the one with the rocker on its side, shows an oil groove, centered in the bushing and the feed holes that lead to the roller tip and the adjuster end intersect with that oil groove. I cannot say if the oil groove like the one shown in the photo is common or not in all other roller rockers, but the set that I have has oil grooves and that is what I intended to show in that photo.

It's hard to tell from the pic, but can you compare the groove depth to a stock rocker. If and when you get around to installing them on an engine, it would be interesting to see how much oil reaches the rockers and cups and tips if you prime the pump.

no problemo, I will get a video, I am running a hydraulic cam reground to a mechanical grind with a hydraulic head, with a mechanical set of lifters, so there is full time oiling, plenty of oil to the top end and in fact i have been trying to reduce the top end oiling as I think t is overwhelming the positive valve seals. That may change with the roller rockers, will see where this goes.
