i'm rebuilding the carb and would like to know what the better injectors would be i got some 220's and 160's i think kinda hard to read them i'm thinking thw 160's are the way to go

i am only after some therories or oppinions no facts exept one if i go with a 318's rad on my slant will i still be able to heat the truck come winter or will i have no heat

 Post subject: You'll get heat

The thermostat forces the engine to heat before allowing flow to the rad. That means that you should get almost the exact same time to warmth no matter what size rad you run.

So, A bigger rad should allow for better cooling, but not difference in warm up.

If nothing has been done before, I've read that .060 will take you to 9-1. I just did that to my head, but haven't installed it yet. :(
There is a way to measure to see what you got and what you'll get, but I can't 'splain dat.

We need the following info to 'help out'

Bore size, what engine (198,225?...for 'stroke info), we need to know how far down your pistons sit below the deck of the block at TDC (this is called 'deck height'), what head gasket are you going to use (shim gasket at .022 squash, or 'Fel-Pro' composite at .039 squash height?), then you need to use a peice of lexan, and a syringe to give us the CC measurement of your combustion chamber ....

With all this 'trivial' data if accurate, one of us should be able to get you to the desired CR....

ok i know it's a 225 and i got a fel pro head gasket but the rest i haven't a clue it's never had the head on it since i bought the truck i am quite sure it's not been plained before

my engine is a bare block so it's a little hard to check all that i'm just looking for a ball park idea
