When using Jesel, T&D and other shaft rocker systems, you need to shim the stands to achieve the desired rocker geometry to make things function smoothly. Most professional engine builders agree that the roller tip of the rocker should intersect the valve stem centerline at mid lift to be at its peak geometry. Anytime you change rocker ratio, valves and change cams, this exercise must be performed because the relationship between all those components changes if just one of those things are changed. Their rocker systems come with a tool that fits in the shaft cradle and sits flat on the valve tip once the shim adjustment is close, then you fine tune it until the valve tip centerline and roller tip align at the mid lift point.

And yes, the rocker ratio changes as the valve opens and closes, there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent that. The adjuster ball travels in an arc and so does the roller tip as it moves across the tip of the valve. You can also change the rocker ratio the further you move the adjuster in or out of the rocker. However, Chrysler has a maximum allowable range they feel the adjuster can be moved out of the rocker before damage to the adjuster can occur due to it being bent from spring pressure.
