I couldn't believe the $850 price!!! .... till I noticed the ad was from 1973. Does anyone NOT want this engine?????

That thing looks a lot like a Pete Aardema setup. It's basically a stock head that has been machined so that a cam can mount to it and a custom rocker arm and lifter setup fabbed. This actually isn't too difficult to pull off with a decently equipped machine shop.

Am I looking at it right.... the pully to drive the cam is on the back of the engine?

Yes, they drove it off the flywheel/crankshaft. :shock:
