I wish I had been racing then! But I was watching from afar! Waiting on every issue of the SSRN newsletter. I was unable to afford the car and racing/traveling at that time while raising a family. Glad I got to be a part of it the last 15 years or so.

I have notified Elmer (track owner) that there would not be any official Slant 6 race at the Mopar event. Anyone who comes to the gate should just sign up to race one of the other classes. I did ask about whether or not I had to have mufflers on to race the street class. If not I will probably race Street and Pro. If I have to have mufflers then I will just race Pro.

Thanks for the heads up, Rick. Greg and I are planning on coming. Might even enter the show and slip out to make a few passes in Street. Which car I bring will depend on weather. Is Ryan coming over?

I'll have to come up early in the morning because my 13 yr old is performing in the middle school play Fri eve and that's my only chance to catch her. Might stay over Sat night?

Looks just like it's me. Ryan and Whitney are going out of town for her birthday. Andrew and his wife just had a new baby this past week. So I doubt he will make it. My friend Johnny may drive my truck but he is not sure yet. Also I suspect Elmer will be done racing by 4:00 or 5:00. Yes look forward to seeing you to Lou!

Like Rick said, we had our new baby girl! That said, my plans will have to be made closer to the day. We are all still adjusting and trying to get enough sleep haha. It may be good to bring Ellie and Drew to the race/show and get them out of the house or I may need to just stay home and help Jess, I just don't know at this point. - From the site, it looks like I can pay to spectate and bring the kids for free... does anyone have confirmation of this?

You probably can? But at worst you would just need to go on the show side of the track and camp. There is no gate out there. I know we are 35 minutes in the wrong direction but your welcome to stay here. We still have the cats though Greg. You guys probably are going to do something really crazy , like hiking or something, right?

I contacted Elmer 2 times this week to ask if I had to have mufflers to run the street class. Do you think he replied? No! I'm not at all sure what he is doing.
