Maybe a different situation, but on our '74 Dart it was the kick-down seal leaking at the top side of the trans. Too much effort (for me) to lower the trans to change that little bitty seal, so I used a hole-saw to cut an access hole though the floor directly above the area. Changed the seal through the hole, then made a metal plate to hide my work.

I power cleaned the underside of the trans, refilled it and deployed the dye. Drove the car a bit, and last night, this is what I found. Fortunately, there appear to be no other leaks at all, other than at the park-lock mechanism.

My only questions are: do we think the fluid is originating and leaking at the park lock mech and traveling up the cable to end at the under-floor retaining clips which are slightly more elevated than where the park lock mechanism is? Or, based on the pictures, could the fluid be leaking through the cable at the clips, and dripping down the cable, soaking the mechanism?

I think it's more likely it's starting at the housing, and traveling up the cable, because I see fluid seepage on the pin side of the cable tightening bolt (going through the housing) that isn't connected to the fluid drips I see anywhere else. Or maybe the cable has pinholes in the jacket up to the clips AND it's leaking through the housing?

Appreciate everyone weighing in, thanks.

Yup. Get with Pat Blais for repair parts.

And print + frame the best of these pics.

By these pictures, would you rule out the cable itself as a possible culprit? Or too soon to tell?

I'd put the park lock housing and its seals to the trans housing at the top of the list.

Pat thinks there is little to go wrong in this location besides accidental park lock cable "chafing" where it may weep fluid through a slightly compromised outer jacket, a deteriorated cable O-ring gasket (where it inserts), and accidental over-tightening, of the five bolts for the park lock cable extension housing cover (basically, the whole housing where the cable inserts).

He mentions nothing to me about additional gasketry inside the actual housing cover, such as where the slide bolt cable clamp tightens against the cable, and (unfortunately) where I see fluid weeping from. He explains the fluid in the transmission is not pressurized, so any fluid I see traveling on the cable from the housing up to the under-floor clip is just fluid leaking and leveling to the fluid level in the transmission pan.

I've already replaced the O-ring gasket with one I sized on the original I removed. No fluid is leaking from the cover where it meets the body. The cable was a "good used" cable that (on inspection) appeared to be in good condition, no deterioration to the outer jacket. Yet, there is a leak, somewhere, somehow.

I'm at a loss  This is extremely frustrating

Those pictures are cool, but I am a fan of black light art. I agree with Dan, those would make some great framed prints.

I would believe a fatigued cable sheath cracking and failing at mounting point. As a temporary (?) fix, may some heat shrink tubing such as electrical wire heat shrink tubing? Or maybe some Plastidip applied over some tape to bridge the gap?

I also think it looks like a second leak from around the pin on the parking lock mechanism. You can buy metal washers that have rubber on one side that might work to create a gasket around the pin, provided you find a big enough washer. Alternatively, clean the head of the parking lock pin thoroughly and try some Plastidip/Flexseal/rubberized spray coating.
