Can you use big block main and rod bearings on a forged crank?

OK, then can somebody suggest a good set of bearings that you can actually buy?

Calico Coatings
They use your Mahle/Clevite number and put a high-performance coating on them.

I won the "door prize" at a King Bearings seminar at the PRI show, several years ago. It was for a full engine bearing set. I blew the moderators mind when he asked what engine I wanted the bearings for, and I said "a 66 chrysler 170 slant six". He wasn't even sure they had those available, and would have to check. I did receive them a few weeks later.

I have used King bearings, and sometimes buy old stock clevite/michigan stuff off ebay, when it's cheap.
