I am in process to build a bottom side pan under the engine. My boosted 170 is a dirty engine having habits leak oil from real seal - I have done it many times but it will start again. No advises what to do for it as I dont do anymore development for that area.

But an engine diaper with some replaceable absorber mat will be the solution. I would be happy to see pictures of similar builds - under an early a-body and of course a small slant six.

Pictures please!

Do you want the diaper on the engine or on the Kframe? For years I have toyed around with the idea of an under engine shield, but never did anything about it.

If it is mostly a rear main leak I would probably unbolt the trans inspection/access cover bolts and add another cover that goes forward a little further than the original using the same bolts. I would place it in front of the original cover as a "rain gutter" to catch the drippings. This would allow you to put your absorber right against the front of the original trans cover. Roofing "tin" used for flashing would be the easiest material to work with and it is heat/oil resistant.

More likely full pan under the engine like some racing cars have

Sorry you have your leaks, I guess I have been lucky.
When I see oil, I start looking for the problem.
On my drag car it would be easy, full tube frame and no K member.
Not sure what would work for your application.

BTW, do you have any posted video of your runs?
