My son Ryan is getting ready to place another order for a bunch of the genuine MLS head gaskets for our engines. He has some already that will work with the Aluminum engines in the smaller bore size. But he will be ordering more of the 3.65" big bore gaskets. He will be ordering these in .040 thick, but he can get them in .080" and .120" thickness as well. If anyone is interested in one of the thicker gaskets please let me know here and he can order them for you. If no replies come in he will likely get them all in the .040" thickness.

Since we can't get the Big Bore Ozzie head gasket anymore, this will fill the need for those of us looking to go .100 overbore.

Hi Rick,

Super! I've been wondering about these and seeing Ryan's auctions on Ebay too. Do we have an idea of pricing? No need to be exact, but the ballpark will affect how many I order. I have been trying to drop CR with the heads I have sometimes, so I'll be in for at least one of the 0.120" thick 3.66" bore versions, and likely a 0.040" or two.

Anyone planning to build an aluminum engine should get the 3.45" bore version!

Thanks again,
Lou

I am good for one or two, depending on price.

Lou And all, These are not cheap by any means. I think they are in the neighborhood of $229 for the .040. And I think each .040 you add is about $40 additional. He will get plenty of the .040 thick ones, but was more concerned if someone wanted an .080 or .120 one that he could get it in with the big order he is placing. I can double check the pricing tomorrow and get you a little closer price.

Thanks a bunch, Rick! Happy to pay more for the thick one(s) to save trouble with changing shortblock builds and head chamber volumes...

For now, I am set.

I think I bought a bunch of these a year or 2 ago from Ryan in both big bore and small for my anticipated AL engine builds.

I would love to get some more, but I cannot at this time.

Thanks, Covalt Clan!

MLS design, 3.45" bore. I have one burn tested pretty well on my ~200 HP aluminum 225. No leakage yet...

Yes they work for the Aluminum engine. I think Ryan sent one of the aluminum engine head gaskets in to the manufacturer to make sure they would work on the aluminum engine. As said , Lou had test run it without issues.

Ryan's race car has over 13 to 1 compression and the head was removed and the same gasket was reused without any issues. This may not be recommended but it did work. So as expensive as they are you may get more than one use out of them.

The head gaskets for the aluminum engine are 3.45" and the big bore is 3.65"

Pricing will be @ $209 for the .040", $249 for the .080", and $289 for the .120" Plus whatever shipping cost is to your location.

He will be order mostly .040" thick so if anyone wants one of the .080 or .120" ones please let me know soon.

Thanks, Rick

Hey Rick,

I'm in for one or two of the ones that will work on the aluminum block as well as one or two of the .040 Big Bores.

I'm not far along enough on blueprinting various combinations yet to know if I need anything thicker.

Thanks Rick and Ryan!
