Is anyone else unable to access the parts data base, or is it just me?

The parts database is on a different server that gives Chuck all kinds of problems, it just needs a "reboot" every few days for unknown reasons.
Kind or reminds me of my.....(no, I won't say it! )

I'm actually happy to see this thread because I have wondered how much the database is used. I rarely see anyone add anything, although that is one of its features.

That datbase actually resides on a computer in my dad's garage. In the last few months I have had trouble with the cable modem overheating, and then the computer itself overheating. It also hosts my e-mail, so it is a real pain when it crashes 6 times a day. Every time it reboots, I have to manually start up that database.

I think I finally got it fixed. It's just not happy with the 100 degree weather. I could set this up on another database on the Internet, but I just don't like that "look and feel" as much as the current Filemaker database.

I hope it has been a help to the members. I still add to it occationally.

Charlie, I never saw your message. I don't know what happened there. It may have gone to one of the e-mail addresses I had to shut down because of spam. Best to try a private message. I'll have to see if there is one there, but I should get notified when I log in.

Probably not your fault. You probably hit the database at a time I haven't reset it. I'm still working on that problem. I thought I had it, but now it is happening again.
