I'm particularly interested in converting to Super 6 2 barrel, possibly with the Offy manifold, Vintage Air install, fron disk brakes, etc...I'm in Souther Caliofornia, East San Gabriel Valley, near Glendora, Diamonf Bar, Pomona, Claremont, San Dimas, Covina, etc...

A few questions. Approximately how old are you? Any experience with working on things. Have a place that you can work on things? The car is relatively simple and learning how to do it will get you a much more trust worthy person working on your car than any shop.

The car you want upgraded is 60 years old and the average tech is less than 30. The legacy knowledge is gone from the repair industry with most techs not knowing anything about automotive carbs or even how to diagnose something without a scan tool saying replace that part.

Your individual upgrades mentioned are well documented here and other places, all easily done by someone with some skills and less than a grand in tools(other than charging AC). This is a "teach a man to fish and feed him for life" situation. If you are an older individual, learning the basics will help prevent getting scammed but some jobs are physically hard on the body and might be better farmed out.
