You should use less now that the car goes straight.

I'm sorry, but that there is funny! :D :D

I think I use more gas per run than Stan because I usually forget to take off the emergency brake!

It will be another mad dash, as usual, for me when I get back. Too many other responsibilities to be able to focus on Challenger prep. I’ve got some methanol here and there… :|

I just got this update from Aaron Sipple about Saturday. Not the typical Saturday schedule we are used to. Discuss amongst yourselves.

We have our last Octane Night meet Saturday September 19th. The start times on that are late afternoon. Gates won't open till 7pm and track hot at 8pm.

But what I'm going to do is start your group first time run right at 7pm once the heat dies down. Get you guys 2 time runs and go into Eliminations right after that. May start you guys at 6pm. Everyone in your group will be there by then plus We will open the gates as needed to let your guys in.

I figured if there is around 8 to 16 of you guys it will be 3 to 4 rounds of Eliminations so it will go fairly quick. Plus blend in well with the show we put on for Octane Nights. You will love the vibe. True old school feel of going to the drags like it used to be in the 70's.

Thanks, Rob.

This sounds OK to me. Maybe we can do the Pizza Hut for a late lunch and then try to get into the track early to have a service for Seymour in the late afternoon or early evening, then racing can go til whenever.

I will call Aaron and ask about coming in to do a service around 4 or 5 PM Saturday.

Slant on,
Lou

Folks, I regret to tell you, the Florida guys are out. I really wanted to be there, but Peg is worse now, than 3 weeks ago. I removed her from rehab on Fri. She had been there for 3 weeks after hip replacement surgery. She should have been on her feet within a couple of days after the surgery, but after 3 weeks still not up. She had some bed sores, and her blood sugar was out of control. Plus her cognition seems slightly worse. I would have pulled her out a week sooner, but we both came down with Covid. I don't know if I brought it in, or I got it there.
I got her home on Friday, and have made more progress in that time than Rehab did in 3 weeks. Her sugar is back under control, and I have been able to get her out of bed, and on her feet. She still can;t take steps, but can stand for a short time. But I just can't leave her at this time, for other people to take care of her.
Steve and Steven Adams were going because of me, so sinse I am not going to make it, they are declining, also. I'm really sorry, and disappointed about not going. I hope you all have a good time, and hopefully, I will see, some/all of you in the future.

Slantzillia and I were just talking.
Since we have the track friday, why not run both races then?
If folks want to stay Saturday and run, then they can.
I am not sure I want to sit all day Saturday to run at night.

Agreed, I will do what the "group" wants to do.

Seems like a good time. I'm planning on both days. Was it confirmed that we can camp at the track?
