So Lou, sounds like your clutch held up well enough and long enough to get you home
That had to have been a big "whew"

We ended up taking a different way home than we came down and made a few stops along that way as our phones kept showing plenty of rain back here .. so we weren't in a hurry to get back to that.... The different route was on account of not getting stuck in a crawl driving around Indy like we did on the way down so we took 64 across indiana and went home all the way up US41. That wasn't bad.... Had we not stopped off where we did we would have made pretty much the same time as coming down 41, across 74 to 65 on the way there.
As it was Friday, we drove 5-1/2 hours down and not a drop until we got to within 15 minutes of the track. We were pretty close to where you guys all stayed, when we first ran into that on the way down. Driving thru Indiana the whole way down was gloomy skies but the sun came out shortly after we hit KY. Until it didn't...

Congratulations to everyone that attended the race. Looked like a lot of fun.
Team Green sure had some good times at Clay City.

Yep, the 62 Valiant clutch (old McLeod B&B 9" hipo) help up all the way home. The pedal pressure point was maybe 1" higher than when I got to the track, but didn't change over the drive. Whew is right! I was babying it...

Yeah, lots of great memories for me at Clay City. Thanks for the chime in, Mark...

Lou

I get my Clutches and PP's now redone at Falcon Clutch in NY.

He can reface those old core discs as needed.

Thanks, Greg! I meant to ask/confirm this again as I will need to send them my McLeod stuff for rebuilding. Falcon Clutch it is...

Sometimes the guy there will encourage you to change out the Marcel or the disc's shock-absorption springs - I like the way McLeod designed the stuff, so tell him to just reface it if possible. Other than that, he is very knowledgeable and does good work.
