I have a 77 Dodge Aspen Custom. It is a street car. I upgraded the 225 Super Six with an Offy intake, Holley 465, Hi-fire 7500 ignition, Accel 42,000 volt coil, lightweight 6 blade fan, Aussie Speed valve covers, Comp Cam 440 lift 264 duration cam, Clifford headers, and 2.25 exhaust. The engine was completely rebuilt. It was bored over 30. The head was milled 100. I have a stock 1978 Torqueflite 904 transmission. The 7 1/4 differential was rebuilt with 355 gears. I have 205/65/15 tires. The car weighs 3100 lbs. I need two things for this car. I'm searching for a 36 tooth speedometer gear for a 1978 torqueflite 904 transmission and a torque converter with around a 1700 stall speed.

205 65 15? Seems awful short for that car

The car had 15x7 wheels with 205/65/15 tires when I bought it. They are 25 1/2 inches tall. I'm sure they are part of why my factory speedometer shows I'm driving 90 mph, when my GPS speedometer shows 70. I also changed the rear gearing from 294 to 355.

Personally I would want more stall than that. I'd put at least a 2500 in it.

Call any decent converter company, tell them what you have and what you want to do, and have one built.

I know this board likes Edge in California. I have used Coan, PTC, ATI, and Midwrst with good results too.

Edge did not answer my message. It's been two weeks.

Is this the company you contacted? https://www.edgeracingconverters.com/
When doing a search for edge several different companies pop up.
If this is the company that didin't get back to you try calling them.If that doesn't get results let me know. I have the owners personal phone number. I haven't used it in quite awhile, so not sure if it is still good. Andre has always treated me well.
