can anyone tell me what cars have the "firm feel" stearing box that will go into a 66 valiant? do they have to be cop cars or cop car clones?

There is no "firm feel" power steering box used by the factory in anything. The "firm feel" power boxes were first used sometime after the 1973 changeover to the large-diameter pitman shaft, so no direct interchange to '72-down A-bodies (upon which the interchange is '62-'72 A and B bodies). However, a "firm-feel" box can be made out of any Mopar P/S box, even the small-pitman-shaft types. It's a question of building up the box with extra heavy reaction springs and close piston tolerances. There are several outfits that sell such boxes outright, including Firm Feel and Steer and Gear.

If you're after the fast-ratio (16:1) *manual* steering box, good luck; they are very, very scarce. I bought one from Hemi Andersen and put it in my '65 Canadian Valiant in the late '90s. I wish I hadn't. It was a very unpleasant box to drive around with. I recommend the mid-ratio (20:1) manual box as the all-around best nonpower setup on an A-body; that's what I've got in my '62 and it's perfect.

Im not sure what you mean by :"Easy". They bolt in as easily as any stock steering box would. I think they were made for stock arms but since FFI also sells faster pitmans you could always ASK them what effect the new box + your arm would have.
