Item#7950864465 on ebay. A nice looking set of 3 OER Carbs
(Jap Weber copies?) on a slant six manifold setup.
Anybody know about this- particularly the manifold?
I don't want to spend the $600 + right now, but it might be nice to
get a manifold and play- maybe with some Webers.

For "Coolness factor" it gets a 10

but for drivability, its probably way to much carb for the average slant 6.

Out of curiosity, how much are those carbs rated in cfm and where the heck do you put the air cleaner?

No, each cylinder gets 1 barrel - just like the stock motor.

Theres another thread on this setup http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11252 I dont know flow or anything except that they are 47's which is pretty big. The may be dellorto or solex carbs or some other knockoff ??? dunno really, I wonder if they would take weber jets etc and/or if parts are available for them.

You get one barrel per cylinder with a mixture screw for each barrel (well with weber sidedrafts you do anyway).

For air cleaner you'd have some options. You could use one long air cleaner (something like this but with one more carb spot http://www.rdent.com/images/itg.jpg ), one aircleaner for each carb (like this, this is a hemi 6 Charger E49 engine http://www.chargerclubofwa.asn.au/Visit ... zrts02.jpg ) or use the foam socks and put one on each trumpet (so six of these http://www.bavauto.com/assets/product_i ... t/u400.jpg ).

I'm GUESSING that this is being offered for sale by:

http://www.piercemanifolds.com/contact.html

It's a company out of Gilroy that sells weber stuff.

I found it strange that he says "not Weber" but won't say what it is. The usual "other" side-draft is Dell'Orto DHLA or Mikuni PHH (neither offered in 47mm TIKO), but there have been knock-offs made by smaller companies (Claude? Berg?).
On the down-side, you need a lot of parts and time to get the jetting right but it should work very well on a mild motor.

I posted a question on ebay to the seller - they are "OER carbs made in Japan."

I think OER means "original equipment reproduction."

They may be S&S Carbs, which were made in Japan and used weber parts.
