 Post subject: cutting vacuum lines

on the set-up in this discussion, the vacuum lines cannot be split like previously mentioned method, they are all molded into a plug that connects into the back of the assembly at the pin connection. I'll check around I think I have 1 of those laying around also.

The vacuum switches can be rebuilt. Check with companies like Classic Auto Air (pick up a Hemmings Motor News).

A lot of those vacumm switches are still available new. If you can get the original part number, it could be crossed over to the newer number. They used those switches on a lot of different year/models. There are different configurations, depending on the application.

Alas, the '60-'62 cars use a four-button switch, and those have long since been discontinued. The five-button switches used on lots of cars starting in '65 are still available.
