I'd go with 2 1920
As always, someone just HAS to say "do the opposite!" =)

Whichever breed you prefer, those are the two common choices. I believe that of the folks on the board that I've seen with this setup, ricki has 1920s, 63Dart has carters (see above). They're both happy ;-)

Thanks Argentina for the compliment on the motor. Yes, at first I fretted a little bit about whether I was going to get enough carburation - but then I did some research.

Given a 5,000 RPM redline - a little porting, and 232 CI displacement, I still only need 318 CFM of air.

The BBSs (and 1920s) each flow somewhere around 180 - so I'm OK as long as I don't need/want to go above about 5600 RPM.

I've driven this (with its rebuild) for a week now - and the torque is amazing. Freeway passing from 60 to 80 MPH is effortless and does not even require that I kick it down into 2nd.

:D

ha

you know me, I couldn't help it.

Argentina's darts GT (only ones wich had this setup directly from factory) had a local reengineering of 1920, called 1922. Accel pump is not diaph, it's a piston with a rubber sleeve that works way better than 1920's accel pump, and metering block is smaller. Those carbs rocks, but I guess that if I'm in trouble down here to get those, i can only imagine how much of a pain in the ass would be up there. float is center hung and fuel inlet is on the bowl's cover.

I suggested 1920 cuz it has somewhat a more modern desing that BBS.
