Well, with the weather not being too good over the last 8 weeks, Vicky the Valiant has been somewhat neglected....However, a large parcel of stuff arrived this week from RockAuto.com (almost $100 cheaper for the same parts than my local auto store) so, over the next week, we are gonna 'get down to it' and hopefully have her running by Saturday pm next week.....

Well, didn't quite get her running today, but there's always next week

Got the water pump, fan & related stuff fitted today, as well as the thermostat housing & a couple of hoses.

Got the Air cleaner casing....clean!! Removed 40 years of oil & grease!! (TIP...Don't use an Aqua Fresh Flex toothbrush with carb cleaner, it melts the flex bit & the end falls off ) Then painted it matt black

My friend George came over with the freshly rebuilt Carter 1 barrel carb & refitted that, the distributor is all rebuilt & ready to fit next weekend.

Thanks to Matt (and NASA for the paint removal), George & Tim for their assistance today, it's VERY much appreciated.
