bad valve guide, rings didn't break in properly...

Any bad noises? Did you do a compression check?

How do you know there's oil in cyl 4? Are the valves adjusted properly?

Lou

I will do a compr. test tommorow

If its rings .... I maybe could get some at napa
or I could order some os pist and rings from Usa and rebore block but it will take about a month for parts to get here

if it guides I do have new ones but I didn't want to use them yet since I got os valves to go with them to build a good head

how do I know... the sparkplug is covered with oil

I've put a adapter for temporary fix....but I need to fix this

this sounds like a bad valve seal, you hear something like a "flap, flap" sound when engine is running?, that happened with a friend´s Mustang.
