in your picture of the hei setup their is a wire on your coil nmot in the wireing diagrams. you have 2 ewires on the negative terminal of the coil, one goes to the hei module, what does the other one go to?

the instrutions given for this setup only show a wire from the coil negative to the hei module.

It looks aftermarket, so i think rust is right. I know mine also has a little radio static supressor on the coil. IF you don't have another wire, don't worry. Just get the HEI wire right.
